On Friday morning Debbie and the other candidates for Congress in the 11th district came together for a forum in front of Kankakee Farm Bureau members. This forum gave Debbie the chance to tell voters about her ideas to help working families and specifically those who work in the agriculture industry, throughout the district, Illinois and our country. The topics were diverse and included agriculture issues, alternative energy, and curbing wasteful federal spending.
As she has done throughout this campaign, Debbie focused on her message of independent leadership and her strong record of getting things done for constituents while in the State Senate. She cited her years of service on the agriculture committee which has helped her to understand the real issues farmers face. Debbie is committed to representing all of the communities throughout the 11th Congressional District when she gets to Congress.
