Ozinga Rolls Out Red Carpet For Vice President Cheney … So What Do 11th District Residents Think?

Joliet IL – Vice President Dick Cheney, one of the most infamous and secretive politicians in our nation's history, is coming to town this Wednesday to raise money for Marty Ozinga, behind closed doors at Marty Ozinga’s own home. This weekend Debbie Halvorson's campaign asked residents of the 11th district what they thought.

Short answer: They ain't happy about it.

“Dick Cheney is symbolic of everything that's been wrong with the past eight years. While the Bush/Cheney economic agenda may have benefited millionaires like Ozinga and Cheney, they've led to the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression and middle class families are paying the price. As if paying $10,000 for a secret luncheon with Governor Blagojevich wasn't alarming enough, it's truly incomprehensible that Marty Ozinga would roll out the red carpet for Dick Cheney --the most secretive and dangerous Vice President in history. It just goes to show that Marty is totally and completely out of touch and doesn't understand the struggles or priorities of middle class families in the 11th district,” said Halvorson Campaign Manager Brian Doory.
